Longford Town awarded commendation for Multi Media Club of the Year!

Longford Town FC have been awarded the commendation award for Multi Media Club of the Year at the this afternoon at the Clayton Hotel in Ballsbridge.

Pictured receiving the award are Media & Marketing Manager, James Donnelly, Paddy McDonald and Padraic Connolly along with SSE Airtricity League representatives.

Longford Town were the only First Division club to pick up an award today!

The award is testament to the hard work and collaboration of a really talented and decidated team of James Donnelly (Media & Marketing Manager), Padraig Stapleton (LTFC.ie webmaster), Kieran Burke, Tony Ghee, Andrew Dempsey (Online Content) and Tiernan Dolan (Photography).

This year’s Awards saw a record number of entries in six categories, while while the SSE Airtricity League Club of the Season was chosen by a judging panel based on entries across all awards.

2018 First Division Fixtures to be released at midday today!

At midday today, we will know the First Division fixtures for the 2018 season! The weekend starting February 23rd is the first kick-off of the season for De Town.

In the First Division, the 2nd/3rd/4th placed clubs will go into the promotion/relegation play-offs at the end of the season. The team which finishes fourth will play the team which finishes third and the winner of that tie will face the team which finishes second. The winner of that tie will then play the team which finishes ninth in the Premier Division in the final promotion/relegation play-off, with all play-offs played over two legs.

The champions of the First Division will be guaranteed automatic promotion to the Premier Division where they will replace the team which finishes 10th in the top tier.
