We have already aired interviews with under 17 captain Sam Barnes and under 19 player Tumelo Tlou from the recent graduation of the club’s underage players as coaches with a National D Licence, which was held recently at the City Calling Stadium.

Now, lets hear the coaches perspective. Denis O’Brien is the Head of Coaching with the club’s underage teams and the club’s youth academy.
James Dermody is the manager of the Longford Town Under 17 team and is also one of the coaches of the club’s youth academy.
Speaking to Tony Ghee, both James and Denis gave their thoughts on the recent FAI coaching initiative for underage players that was piloted at the City Calling Stadium.
