Longford Town Awards Winners for 2019 Announced

Longford Town FC’s Award Night took place in the Longford Arms last night, and it was a great success.

Town goalkeeper Lee Steacy won the coveted Player of the Year award, and much deserved it was too! He also announced that he will be re-signing for the 2020 season.

Town’s midfield dynamo, Aodh Dervin won Young Player of the Year.

Dylan Grimes’ cheeky backheel against Drogheda United won Goal of the Season.

Over 420 votes were polled online for the Goal of the Season, and Dylan polled 37% of the vote!

Shane Elworthy won Section O Player of the Year. Congrats to all our winners and here’s to 2020! #cmondetown
