Meet Timo Siersch and Robert Schuster. That's Timo on the right. The lads travelled from Bavaria, Germany to watch De Town defeat Wexford 3-0.
Robert first saw De Town play in the UEFA cup game in Liechtenstein, many, many seasons ago and so tonight was just his second time seeing De Town in action.
The lads are known as Ground Hoppers and Robert has clocked up an impressive 650 stadiums (or stadia ) in a staggering 80 countries .
Over the years, he has visited Croke Park and the Aviva but it's the smaller and older clubs, he prefers. Finn Park rates highly for being old and the Drogs home, because it was his first. As far as he can recall, he has been to all the clubs in Dublin as well as Bray , Drogheda and Dundalk on the east coast.
Cork and Athlone have also hosted the lads.
So how do we compare with the famous international stadia......"for real football and real football lovers, the small clubs are simply the best....the supporters come out for the love of the game and their team....the smaller clubs are definitely the best"
And we at De Town agree with that.
Safe onward travels lads and thanks for calling to the City Calling Stadium...c'mon de Town !!
(Keep an eye on the Humans of Longford page where a young lad from Norway has been following De Town on line for years but tonight realised his dream when he attended his first LTFC game)
