Longford Town FC Supporters’ Trust

Read more about the Supporters Trust here.

In August 2006 Longford Town FC decided to try and establish a Supporters Trust to help clear the outstanding debts on the clubs facilities at Flancare Park, and also to assist in the fundraising for the continued developments at Flancare Park. Initially the club's executive set about recruiting a base of interested people. This initial stage has now been completed and a full recruitment drive for members to join the Supporters Trust has now begun.

What is the Supporters' Trust?

Supporters Trusts’ have been established in many towns and clubs, with examples in Ireland including the Shamrock Rovers 400 Club and trusts established at Sligo Rovers and Galway United. In our case the Longford Town FC Supporters Trust will be separate from Longford Town FC, independent of the club, but with members on the clubs Executive Board.

What does it cost?

The Supporters Trust members will pay an annual subscription of €300 per annum paid by direct debit of €25 per month, to the bank account controlled by the Supporters Trust. All members of the Supporters Trust are also automatic members of the football club following the clubs AGM in September this year.

How do I join?

Supporters Trust membership forms are available from any committee member, the Offical Supporters Club, at the club shop on match nights and will shortly be available to download from this website, from the link below.
