More International Games to be held at City Calling Stadium

U19 Internationals to be held at the City Calling Stadium

Longford Town FC are pleased to announce that City Calling Stadium will play host to THREE U19 International matches in October.

On Wednesday October 10th, the Republic of Ireland will take on Bosnia/Herzegovina with a kick off time of 3.00pm.

Only 3 days later, on Saturday, October 13th, the team return to face the Faroe Islands with a kick off time of 3.00pm also.

The final game of the three takes place on the Tuesday, October 16th with Ireland taking on the might of the Netherlands with an earlier kick off time of 1.00pm.

The club is delighted that the City Calling Stadium has been chosen as the venue for these fixtures and we look forward to welcoming all players, officials and supporters to Longford in October.

The SportsDirect.com FAI Summer Soccer School programme will enter its 21st year in 2017. Over the years, the camps have grown to become the largest programme in the Grassroots Department of the Football Association of Ireland.

The camps aim to provide children between the ages of 6 and 14 the opportunity to attend a week-long football summer camp over the holiday period. Every year boys and girls of all abilities turn out to enjoy five days of fun and football. It doesn’t matter if you’re just a beginner or if you have our sights set on Robbie Keane’s number 10 shirt, you will have fun and learn a lot out of the Summer Soccer Schools.

FAI Summer Soccer Schools camps will be taking place at City Calling Stadium between Monday 3rd July – Friday 7th July and Monday 14th August – Friday 18th August 2017.

LTFC Announcement: Alan Mathews steps down

Longford Town wish to announce that by mutual consent, the club and First Team Manager Alan Mathews have parted ways. We thank Alan for his efforts and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Gary Cronin will take charge of the first team for next week’s game vs Shelbourne.
