Confirmed Pre-Season Friendlies Longford Town FC can confirm four Pre-Season friendlies are scheduled for the coming weeks against First Division opposition. Longford Town were narrowly defeated by League Champions, Dundalk 2-1 at a friendly in a closed to spectators, Oriel Park. Sam Verdon hit a brilliant half volley from outside the box that nestles into the corner past Rodgers in goal on 3 minutes. Dundalk equalised before half-time through Patrick Hoban. Longford Town FC 2-1 Finn Harps Two first half goals from Niall Barnes and Aaron McNally sealed the win for De Town. Harps pulled one back through Sodicki in the second.
