Longford Town had a much improved performance against Waterford last night at City Calling Stadium. Waterford’s Davy McDaid was sent off for Waterford for a horrible 2 footed tackle on Town defender Mark Langtry. There was also a saved penalty from Town’s goalkeeper, Paul Skinner.

Action shots from last night’s defeat to Shamrock Rovers in our final game of the season. Mark Hughes and David O’Sullivan both netted for Town in a 4-2 defeat, the First Division awaits next season.
Longford Town’s relegation was finally confirmed on a wet Monday night in the City Calling Stadium, as Stephen Kenny’s Dundalk beat De Town 3-0, to move a step closer to regaining the title. Dundalk can win the title if they beat Bohemians on Sunday. Town are back in the First Division for next season.
Included among the hardcore Town supporters on a wet night is leading Irish sports photographer Dave Maher.
De Town had a good workout against Limerick tonight on a very wet night at the City Calling Stadium, final score was 2-2 with Davy O;Sullivan (who else!) scoring the first goal of the 2016 season for De Town. Kealon Dillon scored Town’s equalising goal.
