Match Preview: Sligo Rovers v Longford Town
We head to the Showgrounds this Friday evening to take on Sligo Rovers in another highly anticipated clash with our nearest neighbours in the Premier Division.
Last time out, Rovers ran out 1-0 winners at Bishopsgate thanks to a Garry Buckley header at the beginning of the second half. De Town team were disappointed at full time having had multiple chances to score throughout the game and putting in a good performance for the entirety.
Club Captain Dean Zambra spoke after the game and expressed his disappointment in the result, giving his team's performance;
I think we matched their performance stride for stride, and overall I think we deserved at-least a point out of it.
Sligo will be without talisman Greg Bolger as he is serving a one match ban. Danny Kane & Darren Collins are out through injury while David Cawley is doubtful and will have to pass a late fitness test pre-game.
De Town will be without Callum Warfield who is still recovering from the injury he picked up in our previous game against Sligo back in April while Aaron McCabe, Aaron McNally and Matthew O'Brien are all doubtful.
Kick off at the Showgrounds is 7.45PM and the game is LIVE on Watch LOI.
