MATCH PREVIEW
Longford Town FC v Cobh Ramblers FC
City Calling Stadium
Saturday 17th June 2017. KO: 7:30PM
Longford Town host Cobh Ramblers tonight, fresh off a 2 week break which started after a 0-0 draw against 9 man Shelbourne. Ramblers defeated Wexford 1-0 just before the holidays and are currently sitting in 2nd in the table just behind leaders Waterford.
Cobh defeated Longford Town on both occasions so far this season, winning 3-1 at City Calling Stadium in March followed by a 2-0 win at home in April so caretaker Boss Gary Cronin and the team will be out for revenge.
A win over Cobh tonight would see Longford leapfrog Shels into 5th place on 20 points, just 1 point behind 4th place Cabinteely FC and hopefully kickstart a more successful second half of the season for the club.
Cobh Team News: Due to college and work commitments, Ross Mann left the club.
Longford Team News: Daniel O’Reilly is suspended. Davy O’Sullivan and Mark Langtry remain on the injury list. Enda Curran, Cody Mulhall and Don Cowan are all hopeful to feature.
