Longford Town knocked out of EA Sports Cup

EA SPORTS CUP QUARTER FINAL

Shamrock Rovers 1-0 Longford Town

Town exit the cup at the quarter-final stage after a difficult game in Tallaght. Dean Dillon, played though on the edge of the box by Miele, he calmly slotted under Town keeper, Jack Brady from the right hand side to give Rovers a deserved lead. The semi-finalists are Dundalk, Cork City, Galway United and Shamrock Rovers.
